- Loreto
Loreto is the oldest continuous settlement in Baja California Sur. The central plaza and presidio are fine examples of Baja architecture. Located between Guerrero Negro and La Paz on the Sea of Cortez, it is a rapidly growing community with both full and part time residents. Loreto makes a good lunch break from driving down Baja California Sur’s Highway 1. Loreto is promoting itself as a tranquil retirement and vacation community. Golf is available as well as sport fishing and recreational boating.
- La Paz
Baja Sur’s largest city is also the seat of state government. Established by Hernan Cortez in 1535 the settlement was given it’s modern name by Sebastian Vizcaino in 1596. La Paz is the most established community in Baja Sur and has one of the highest incomes per capita in Mexico. Real estate opportunities exist in single family homes, condominiums, exclusive building locations and more. A wide variety of eco-travel activities are available and construction of the areas first golf course is under way.
- East Cape
East Cape began to blossom in the 1990’s as a haven for sport fishermen and snowbirds. The only living coral reef in the NE Pacific exists at Cabo Pulmo and the fishing in the region continues to attract visitors today. Now windsurfers and year round residents have made the East Cape one of the hottest real estate markets in Baja Sur. New resorts are being built in the region and exclusive homes are becoming the norm.
- Los Cabos
Los Cabos refers to the Cabo San Lucas/San Jose del Cabo – Land’s End area. Los Cabos is rapidly becoming one of Mexico’s most desirable tourist regions. One of the fastest growing cities in Mexico it has a rapidly evolving real estate market. Large scale developments are underway as well as condominium complexes and single family homes. - Todos Santos
